Premier League Match Time: Bolton Vs Newcastle

Premier League match time comes to Reebok Stadium on Saturday, November 20, when Bolton Wanderers host Newcastle United, in match week 14.

Bolton are coming off a 3-2 away win at Molineux against Wolves, a game in which Holden was outstanding in midfield; other players who shone, in what was a team effort, were Knight and Cahill. If Owen Coyle's men could be faulted for anything, it could be for letting the Wolves reduce the lead after being 3-0 up at half-time.

Newcastle followed up on their 5-1 thrashing of Sunderland by edging out Arsenal by the solitary goal in match week 11. Thereafter, the Magpies have come apart at the seams, losing 2-1 to Blackburn and engaing in a goalless draw against Fulham

Chris Hughton's squad had a lack-lustre outing against Fulham in match week 13, a game that belied the form they displayed when they thrashed Sunderland 5-1. In a sense, the performance underscored Joey Barton's importance, in Newcastle's scheme of things.

The central midfielder is serving a three-match suspension awarded after he decided to box Morten Pederson in the stomach during his team's game against Blackburn at St James Park. While Barton's pugilistic skills merit praise, his football skills are more likely to serve his team's cause in their Premiership campaign. Barton is said to have apologized to Pederson who is said to have accepted said apology gracefully.

Bolton are currently in fifth place. Interestingly, Owen Coyle's squad have won just four of 14 games including two at home. Although on current form, I would back the Trotters to edge this game, they will have their hands full trying to add to their win record at the Reebok, against eighth placed Newcastle, in their seventh home match of the season.

Newcastle have two of three joint top scorers of the ongoing Premier League season. Nolan and Carroll have seven goals each, a feat they share with Chelsea's Malouda.

Carroll had an off-day against the Cottagers and Magpies' hopes of banking three points against the Trotters must rest on which side of the bed Carroll gets out of, come Saturday.

For Bolton theres bad news in that midfielder Muamba could miss the game against the Toon. Muamba is yet to miss match this season, and his 100% record is in jeopardy. Owen Coyle is likely to take a late call on Muamba who picked up a groin strain in last weekend's game.

Bolton's starting eleven against Wolves comprised Jaaskelainen, Ricketts, Cahill, Knight, Robinson, Lee, Muamba, Holden, Taylor, Davies and Elmander; Klasnic and Petrov turned out as substitutes.
